Sustainable Consulting Solutions
Tailored strategies fostering economic and environmental resilience.
Two areas of service
Consulting for Environmental Sustainability
With a broad understanding on the functions and systems of the planet, from the macro and micro perspective, we offer integrated solutions for development projects that aim for a positive impact. Profit is key, however it is not the driving force; our solutions are elegant, as they work in-line with natural process and functions, providing a multitude of benefits toward the people and place.
Projects can be in the concept, or under development phase, and ideally large scale, however we have an open door policy with whom we share our expertise. Our solutions come from working both with the client, as well as the local community and understanding the local environment / ecosystem.
For larger projects, we bring together a team from our contact base, with whom we share a common worldview and set of principles. In doing so, we increase the diversity and wealth of knowledge of the team, that offer a greater depth to the development project.
Consulting in Education
We are also actively involved in education, as we feel that decision-makers need a deep understanding of the environment (eco-literacy), systemic thinking and more, in order to take the best decisions that can have long reaching positive impact. This can be done in course creation, seminars/webinars or other forms of interaction.
Present and Past Project Examples
Some examples of our projects.
YOO Limassol
(Down to Earth)
Ongoing
YOO Limassol, designed by YOO and inspired by Philippe Starck, is a beach-front resort, high status development, exclusive, environmentally-friendly, gated residences of the highest standards. Public link to project.
‘Down to Earth By the Sea’ is the internal term used by Mr. Avraam HadjiGiovannis, the project founder/developer.
We started with a thorough investigation of the area and the project site, as well as the developed plans, looking at flow of energy, water, and systems thinking/poly-function design. Internal link to project.
The Adventures of
Tom Snow
Ongoing
‘The Adventures of Tom Snow’ is cartoon concept, that is based on a real life person called Tom Snow.
Tom was a systemic designer, researcher and educator who was committed to finding elegant, multi-disciplinary solutions for the regeneration of our planet and our sovereignty as individuals and as a community.
Sadly Tom passed in 2022, yet his legacy is still being upheld by a team of his friends/colleagues to continue his work; in this case, it is in the form of a cartoon series.
‘The Adventures of Tom Snow’ is aimed at teenagers to adults, to bring in eco-literacy, adventure, ethics, and just being human, given in a subtle and fun way.
Riverland
Bio Farm
Past
Riverland Bio Farm is the largest organic farm in Cyprus.
Unlike a typical goat/sheep farm, Riverland hosts a diverse animal group (including cows, horses, a bull, swine, different bird types, and even rehabilitating deer). It also active with farm tours/education and acts as a great weekend getaway.
Although the produce is organic, the farm itself is not sustainable, and our aim was to bring a level of development that was cost effective, and create additional revenue, while also having an impact on ecosystem restoration. Link (Facebook) to farm.
Systemic Design
Strategy – Cyprus
Past
Advisor for a Master Degree in System in Design at the Politecnico di Torino
DAD – dipartimento di Architettura e Design (Italy).
Master’s thesis ‘How to Implement a Systemic Design Strategy in Cyprus island‘, involved a deep dive systemic analysis of the island that led to a focus on the agri-food sector.
This included a multicriteria analysis of the sector in order to select, and present, the systemic solution.
